Sanrio Game Master Website & Mobile Application
Sanrio Game Master was held from 6 August to 23 August 2015, in KITEC Kowloon Bay. Pixo Punch was appointed to build an event website and a mobile application in order to enhance user engagement during the event as well as before attending.
Before the event is launched, Sanrio fans can look for event details on the website or the app, such as event date, ticketing information and official goods etc. Users can also use the app to play mini-games , take photos and decorate them with Sanrio special stickers.
While participants are attending the event, their journey can be enriched by looking for QR codes in the venue and unlock more special stickers. There is also a prize exclusive for app users.
The website layout adopts the style of classic board game, with 7 Sanrio Game Master main characters and their friends. Each section is represented by one Sanrio Game Master main character. The website contains information such as event details and souvenirs. Visitors can purchase tickets online. Visitors are also advised to download the mobile before they go to the event.
Besides containing event information and a link to purchase tickets, the app contains 4 main functions.
Mini game: Arouse users’ passion towards classical board game, and provide a warm up game for fans before attending the event. Upon finishing 2 games, users will get a coin for lucky draw.
QR code Hunting: Unlock 10 Sanrio Special stickers by finding and scanning QR codes in Sanrio Game Master event venue.
Photo Sticker: Users can take photos and decorate them with Sanrio stickers. By sharing the decorated photos to Facebook, users will get a coin for lucky draw.
Lucky Draw (Digital Gashapon Machine): Users can use their coins here to participate in a lucky draw. If they find a prize in the Gashapon capsule, they may redeem a special gift in the Sanrio Game Master event.
The website is launched on July 08, 2015. Until August 23, 2015, there are 150,000 page views and 47,000 unique users in total.
Within the event period, the numbers of download reached over 9,000, while over 8,000 photos were saved and shared online. In early August, the app ranked no. 17 in both Apple App Store (Entertainment Category) and Google Play Store (Casual – Games Category).
