Satisfaction and excitement with photography should be enjoyed by everyone. Digital agency Pixo Punch was appointed by Canon to hold a year-long photo contest with a variation of themes and each theme will be held in bi-monthly basis.
Second round of the competition “Micro Nature X Macro Capture” has just completed, so many netizens uploaded their macro photography shots and get a chance to be selected as “The Best Macro Nature Shot” and win the Macro Ring Lite MR-14EX (Price: HK$4,280).
2,000 entries received
“Over 200 entries have been received within one week.There are total 2,000 submissions and 20,000 votes received. The campaign has enhanced the awareness of existing premium services provided to Canon consumers.” Ben Woo, Project Director of Pixo Punch explained. The campaign has in particularly helped to promote the services including the cover story of Club Canon e-magazine, shooting tips, Pro Advice and workshop of digital school.

In order to have a chance to win, participants would call for votes by sharing their masterpieces through embedded Facebook sharing function in the campaign website. Therefore photo-upload and voting are the most desirable mechanisms to drive organic viral effects. The campaign is supported by portal banners in Club Canon website, Canon Enjoy Photo fan page, Yahoo, DCfever, HKdiscuss, Uwants, Club Canon e-magazine.
