Objective

The production of promotional video and banners aims to promote L’Oréal Paris newly launched mobile app – MakeUp Genius.

Concept

MakeUp Genius from L’Oréal Paris allows users try on make up and experiment with a wide range of products and looks to find the make up style that suits them. The make up move with users’ face and expressions like a virtual mirror in this augmented reality app. This app brings users a life-like simulation to help users try shades and styles in real-time.

Execution

The promotional video features Chrissie Chau, a young female celebrity. In the 1-minute long video, Chrissie showed the proper way to use this app. She tried different functions in the app and obtained immediate results, for example, eye makeup, lips makeup, colour tones. Colours of the makeup can be changed easily by touching the screen and the results will be displayed accordingly.

Besides the promotional video, promotional banners were also prepared. They were put in different digital platforms so that MakeUp Genius can be introduced to more people.
